We don’t know why you left Neopets, you should have your reasons; I think you were one of the best staff ever on Neopets creating avatars, content and things new staff doesn’t do as you did – despite what happened and how many years has been since you left neopets, would you ever comeback to Neopets? I think they need you current staff doesn’t know how to keep the people who have been playing entretained your ideas inspirasions and such were awesome among the years you were on the neopets team, please consider going back to Neopets and get back the community and make Neopets awesome again. (Also how do we get eternal access to the Magma Pool) no one has discovered this yet nor no one wants to give a clue – even a hint would help us thank you

I get asked to return all the time and while I definitely appreciate the sentiment (you guys are so nice, geez), I think people are little confused about how that would work. It’s not really a thing where I’d go to them and say, “hey, I’m coming back” and they’d say, “oh, okay, here’s your desk.” ? It’s their brand and working on it is just like any other regular job. They’d have to want to change the site/brand direction they’re going in, and want to hire some of the old team back to do it, and I’d have to, you know, get the gig. Heh.
But if they did magically want to work together for some reason, I honestly couldn’t tell you what I’d do. Some of the reasons I left would require that things have changed at JumpStart before I’d even remotely consider working with them again but outside of that, I couldn’t tell you. I mostly think of Neopets as a great time in my life that’s over now… aside from these questions/articles and the occasional meme whoops. (This is especially true since the amazing team of people I loved collaborating with is no longer there. That was hugely important and a big contributing factor to me staying as long as I did.) So I don’t ever find myself thinking about working there again. But who knows? Maybe they’d have some revitalisation project in mind that’s super intriguing that they’d want old-school folks to help with and I’d be pretty excited to join? Or they just really need someone to consult with on the brand history and philosophies and I really wanted to help? I really don’t know. It would depend on a lot of factors, I guess!
I actually don’t know anything about the Magma Pool, sorry! That was made while I was off the day-to-day of Neopets for a couple years so I’m not familiar with its deep, dark secrets. I’ll check in with the old gang to see if anyone remembers but they may not want to share if they do. I’ll comment again if I get any nuggets of info for you.
