Do you have any information on the function of the old beads from Lutari Island? The function of two kinds were pretty obvious from the messages they gave when increasing game scores or haggling a reduction in stores, but the other two were never really found out. Mostly curious if the rumour one colour originally increased RE chances was true and, if so, if that chance carried over in the RE overhaul that happened later?

Do you think Neopets could ever be in the hands of owners who love the game, again? I know you mentioned you mostly look back at the place now as a good memory, but I’m just wondering if a part of you ever feels a little sad how it turned out compared to its heyday. Sometimes it seems like the current team is doing its best to drive players away, on a weekly basis, with specific decisions and actions/inactions. If I didn’t know better, I’d say they don’t even like the game. It’s super baffling. Theoretically, could Neopets be acquired by a wealthy group of fans or fansite in the future? Do you want to pool money buy it??! Just kidding. Probably just wishful thinking 🙂

A little ago, in the game Legends & Letters a new villain was revealed. His name was The Claymaker and he was an ancient that was sealed away by the faeries.

Were the ancients (or the concept/idea of them) discussed or developed at some point (and maybe dropped later idk) ?
With this I mean, like, if the idea of an old civilization or beings that existed before neopets and had disappeared was discussed while you worked on the site or not?

And about disappearing civilizations…. I supose geraptiku and the disappearance of the inhabitants was meant to stay an eternal mystery to players, but was discussed what happened to them or everyone just went with “Let’s just say they disappeared and leave it at that” ?

Are there canon rules about the world setting of neopets that forbid certain things to happen or appear in the site? I think I’ve never seen phones or cars

This is one that has bugged me forever. Neocash items require a user’s real life money to purchase, but you aren’t allowed to move them around your accounts without also purchasing or obtaining gift boxes. What was the design decision behind this? Because to me, it just makes me angry that I purchased an item for real money, and I cannot move it to a side account without paying more money. And if I want to move it again? Guess what, pay more money. And the items I need to move it? Not even available year round. If it is my item, I bought it – why can I not move it where I want, when I want, how I want?

Hey Snarkie!!! I’ve been DYING to know ever since I found out, but did you happen to have any say at all under the Jakks-Pacific Neopets minifigure line from like 2009? There’s a video circulating around on YouTube of an unreleased Neopets Lost Desert playset prototype from a 2009 toy fair and I really want to know why it never got released and where the prototype ended up. I assume it just was never released due to it just kinda falling through but I just gotta know where it went, if you happen to know at all!
